The In-Vehicle Unit (IU) in my car broke down for no apparent reason. Paying a visit to the inspection center, the guy said that the IU was more than 5 years old, and the warranty had expired. From the website…
IUs are covered by a 5-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects. You will have to pay for a replacement should your IU become faulty after its warranty period.
… and I had to pay for a new one to the tune of DOLLARS ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE AND CENTS EIGHTY ONLY.
It’s not about the money… much… but let me get this clear. I paid money to put a device in my car by which they charge me money!!
The receipt even had ***THANK YOU*** at the bottom of it.
