Several years ago, the streets of Singapore resounded with a spoof of Black Eyed Peas’ My Humps. “Mai Hum Mai Hum Mai Hum Mai Hum”. Me, I’d have extra cockles any day of the week.
Besides cockles, lard plays a big part in this dish. You would think then that fried Kway Teow without lard would taste terrible. It doesn’t – not at least from Heng Huat Fried Kway Teow @ Pasir Panjang Food Centre. There’s a healthy serving of blanched veges on top too.
Great after a full day romping about in Batam and eating mall food.
